Breuil is a northern French municipality with 46 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Péronne , belongs to the canton of Ham and is part of the Est de la Somme municipality .
Toponymy
The name Breuil is derived from the Celtic term brogilo (enclosed forest).
geography
Breuil is about 6 km southeast of Nesle on the Petit Ingon , the course of which is followed by the Canal du Nord . A bridge over the canal connects the place with Bacquencourt, a district of the municipality of Hombleux . The castle is located in the southeast of the building.
