The Bimmen mill was a watermill on the Niers in the town of Goch with a probably undershot water wheel .
geography
The Bimmener Mühle was located between the Gocher Mühlentor and the Aspermühle in the former village of Bimmen, in the city of Goch, Kleve district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The Goch oil mill was located above and the Asper mill below.
The Niers here has a height of approx. 16 m above sea level . The care and maintenance of the water is the responsibility of the Niersverband , which is based in Viersen .
history
In the former peasantry Bimmen (Bymmen) who possessed Cistercian of Abbey Graefenthal a courtyard and a mill that has been mentioned a few times 1380th The richly wealthy abbey ran seven mills either on its own or on lease .
