The Honselaerer Mühle was a watermill located on the Issumer Fleuth in the city of Kevelaer with an undershot water wheel .

The Honselaerer mill was located at Issumer Fleuth, at Hoenselaersweg 2, in the district of Wetten , in the town of Kevelaer, in the Kleve district , in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The Issumer Fleuth has a height of approx. 24 m above sea level here . The care and maintenance of the water is the responsibility of the Niersverband , which is based in Viersen .
history
The Honselaerer mill was probably built in the 14th century and was part of the Honselaers house, which was listed as a Geldrisches fiefdom as early as 1299 . The former mill building and today's residential building dates back to 1836 and shows this with anchor pins . At that time the mill belonged to Haag Castle . The owner was the Count von Hoensbrock, Müller was a certain Mr. Roghmanns. In the course of the renaturation of the Fleuth in 1926/28, the mill was shut down.
