Curlu is a French municipality with 168 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton of Albert and has been part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot since January 1, 2013 (previously Communauté de communes du canton de Combles ).

The municipality is located on the north bank of the Somme, which forms a boggy valley with ponds (étangs) around twelve kilometers west-northwest of Péronne and south of the D938 département road from Péronne to Albert .

history

The destroyed church

Curlu suffered in the Battle of the Somme (1916) in the First World War severe damage. The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
