Punchy ( Picard : Peuchin) is a northern French municipality with 87 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Péronne , belongs to the canton of Ham and is part of the Communauté de communes Terre de Picardie .

geography

The community is located around 4 km south of and immediately adjacent to Chaulnes and 9 km east- south -east of Rosières-en-Santerre on the D39. As the only cantonal municipality, Punchy, which also belongs to a different association of municipalities than the majority of the canton's municipalities, is largely east of the high-speed railway line of LGV Nord and the A1 autoroute .
