Hallu is a northern French municipality with 177 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Péronne , belongs to the canton of Moreuil and is part of the Communauté de communes Terre de Picardie .

geography

The municipality in the Santerre countryside is around 3.5 km south of and immediately adjacent to Chaulnes and 7.5 km east- south -east of Rosières-en-Santerre at the intersection of the D39 and D131 departmental roads. It extends in the north to the Amiens-Laon railway line. The disused Chaulnes- Roye railway runs through them . The municipal area touches the high-speed railway line of the LGV Nord and the Autoroute A1 to the east .
