Languevoisin-Quiquery is a French municipality with 195 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton of Ham and is part of the Est de la Somme municipal association .
geography
The municipality, which is made up of the hamlets of Languevoisin and Quiquery (in the east), extends to the Canal du Nord in the south-east of Nesle . It is separated from Nesle by the river Ingon .
history
Languevoisin is a corruption of land (land) and voisin (neighboring, i.e. to the castle of the lords of Nesle). There were repeated military attacks over the Ingon.
During the First World War , the predominantly agricultural community was largely destroyed. She received the Croix de guerre 1914–1918 as an award .
