Marquaix (Picard: Marqué) is a commune of 200 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Somme department in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton of Péronne .

geography

The community is located around 2.5 km west of Roisel on the D6 department road on the Cologne river . The hamlet of Hamelet belongs to it. The Péronne - Épehy section of the former railway line from Saint-Just-en-Chaussée to Douai with a stop in Hamelet ran through Marquaix (passenger traffic stopped in April 1970).
