Bernhard von Patow
Erasmus Bernhard von Patow (born October 6, 1798 in Lübben , † September 7, 1858 in Groß Jehser ) was a German administrative officer.
Life
origin
His parents were Erasmus Gottfried Bernhard von Patow (1767–1842) and his wife Johanna Friederike von Thermo (1766–1847). His father was the heir to Mallenchen , a Prussian chamberlain as well as an electoral councilor of the margraviate of Niederlausitz. He was also appointed imperial baron in 1790. The Prussian official and politician Robert von Patow was his brother.
Career
After attending the Princely School of St. Afra , he studied at the University of Leipzig and the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin . In 1817 he became a member of the Corps Lusatia Leipzig . In 1819 he was one of the founders of the short-lived Corps Lusatia Berlin. After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1827 he became district administrator of the district Lubben . In 1845 Karl von Houwald succeeded him as district administrator.
Von Patow was the owner of the manors Groß Jehser, Erpitz and Schadewitz . He was the state counsel of the Lower Lusatia margravate and thus the highest official of the Lower Lusatia estates. In the obituary in the official gazette of the Frankfurt / Oder government, his conscientiousness, loyalty to the Prussian royal house and his willingness to work to protect the interests of the estate in Lower Lusatia were highlighted. After his death, Julius Wilhelm von Beerfelde succeeded him as state counsel.

He married Maria Auguste von Houwald on May 31, 1830 (* November 5, 1805 - † February 7, 1891). The couple had several children:
