The nature reserve Bichlbauernfilz with Schwaigsee lies in the area of the municipality Wildsteig in the district of Weilheim-Schongau in Upper Bavaria .
The 44.3 ha area with the number NSG-00185.01, which was placed under nature protection in 1997 , extends east of the core town of Wildsteig directly on the St 2059, which runs on the northern edge. The Ammer flows to the east and the B 23 runs along it . The 32.4 hectare Ammerschlucht nature reserve extends to the east by the Echelsbacher Bridge . The Schwaigsee lies in the area .
