The Bicke , also called Biek , is a 6.8 km long, left-hand or western tributary of the Aar in Bad Arolsen in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district , northern Hesse ( Germany ).
Course and catchment area
The Bicke rises in the Waldecker Wald around 1.5 km northeast of the Massenhausen district of Bad Arolsen . Its source lies between the Josteskopf ( 400 m above sea level ) in the northwest and the Wengekerberg (approx. 390 m above sea level ) in the east. It is located between the state roads 3198 in the northeast and 3078 in the southwest at around 340 m above sea level. NN .
Initially, the Bicke flows southeast in Wengekergrund in the direction of Bad Arolsen, only to run eastwards after crossing under the federal highway 252 between the city center in the south and the Helsen district in the north. Here it is bridged by the Warburg – Sarnau railway line, which now follows the Bachtal.
The Bicke now runs east-south-east through a forest-lined valley, after leaving the Wetterburg district at about 212 m above sea level. NN in Twiste influx Aar to lead .
