Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is a Neoswing band from Southern California . Her most important singles include Go Daddy-O , You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby) and Mr. Pinstripe Suit . The band played during the half-time break of Super Bowl XXXIII in 1999.

history

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was founded in 1989 in Ventura, California by frontman Scotty Morris. The band's name came about after Morris met blues guitar legend Albert Collins at one of his concerts:

“He signed my poster 'To Scotty, the big bad voodoo daddy'. I thought it was the coolest name I ever heard on one of the coolest musical nights I ever had. So when it came time to name this band, I didn't really have a choice. I felt like it was handed down to me. "

Morris and Kurt Sodergren are the two founders of the band. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy focused on the swing of the 1940s and 1950s and played it in clubs and lounges in their early years .

Early career: 1989–1996

After Morris was in punk and alternative rock bands in the 80s , such as B. False Confession, a band in the nardcore scene, he formed Big Bad Voodoo Daddy with Kurt Sodergren. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy also occurred in the success TV show Dancing with the Stars and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on to their album How Big Can You Get ?: The Music of Cab Calloway imagine a compilation of their interpretations of songs Cab Calloway from the April 2009.
