Billy Wirth

Billy Wirth (real name William E. Wirth ; born June 23, 1962 in New York City ) is an American actor and screenwriter .

Life

Wirth went to school in Manhattan and later attended Brown University in Rhode Island . During his studies in the mid- 1980s , he was discovered by photographer Bruce Weber and worked as a model for youth magazines such as Seventeen and Interview . He first gained notoriety through his appearance in a television advertisement for the Pepsi brand diet cola . Wirth had his first acting role in the television series Der Equalizer . He traveled to Los Angeles , where his acting career began in the movie Ticket to Heaven . Well-known films in which he participated are The Lost Boys by Joel Schumacher , The Young Warriors by Franc Roddam and Midlife by Greg Travis . Wirth was also seen in individual episodes in many well-known television series. In the television show American Gladiators , he took part in the games and reached the semifinals.

Wirth later decided to work behind the camera with his 15 years of film experience. He was the scriptwriter and producer of the short film MacArthur Park . This film was screened at the Sundance Film Festival , Taos Talking Picture Festival, and Seattle International Film Festival . Wirth seems to have found his talent behind the scenes of the film and is currently working on a documentary about the plight of the homeless . He had had this project in mind for a long time.
