Birte Schnöink (* 1984 in Bremen ) is a German actress .

Life

Birte Schnöink studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 2006 to 2010 and already performed at the Salzburg Festival and at the Berlin Schaubühne during this time . Since the 2009/2010 season she has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Hamburg Thalia Theater . There she worked with the directors Jette Steckel , Bastian Kraft , Stefan Pucher , Johan Simons and Leander Haußmann , among others . In 2014 she received the Boy Gobert Prize for young actors at the Hamburg theaters.

Schnöink had her first leading role in a feature film in Amour Fou by Jessica Hausner , which was shown at the 2014 Cannes International Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard series. Her portrayal of Henriette Vogel in Amour Fou earned her a nomination for the Austrian Film Award 2015 for best actress. In the feature film Die Einzelteile der Liebe by Miriam Bliese , which premiered at the Berlinale 2019 , she also played the lead role together with Ole Lagerpusch .
