Bisdorf is a village on the island of Fehmarn and a district of the city of Fehmarn in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein .

Geographical location

Bisdorf is roughly in the middle of the island of Fehmarn, between the villages of Landkirchen and Vadersdorf . The area of ​​the village hall is about 502 hectares.

history

Archaeological finds such as flint knives and arrowheads indicate that there was an old settlement near Bisdorf.

The village named villa episcopi in the Waldemar earth book was given as a gift by King Waldemar to the Bishop of Odense / Funen in 1230. Even today some field names of the place (e.g. Vogtssoll ) point to the origin as a former bishop's village .
