Strukkamphuk lighthouse

Strukkamp is a village on the south coast of the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn . It is a district of the city of Fehmarn in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein . The place is located south of Gold , Avendorf and Albertsdorf and north of the Fehmarnsund Bridge . Strukkamp is on the Lübeck – Puttgarden railway line .

In 2002 the village had 140 inhabitants on an area of ​​around 307 hectares.

Strukkamp was founded in the 14th century. The village stretches along the Strukkamper Dorfstrasse from south to north. Behind the village are the so-called "Platen", as the meadows are called, which are long under water during floods.

Today it is best known as a vacation spot. The coast offers excellent surfing and kite surfing opportunities as there is often a westerly wind. There is a campsite with 600 parking spaces on the outskirts of the village .

The lighthouse Strukkamphuk serves as a lower light for the lighthouse Flügge and marks the fairway through the Fehmarnsund . The fishing license of the place is STRU .
