The diocese Diamantino ( lat. : Dioecesis Adamanteae ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Diamantino in the state of Mato Grosso .

history

Pope Pius XI founded the Territorial Prelature Diamantino on March 22, 1929 with the Apostolic Constitution Cura universae Ecclesiae from cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Cuiabá , to which it was also subordinated as a Suffragan Diocese.

With the bull Cura universae Ecclesiae she was raised to the diocese on October 16, 1979.
