The 2.02 m tall half right back player played at the beginning of his career in Yugoslavia for Proleter Zrenjanin , RK Red Star Belgrade and RK Partizan Belgrade and was able to win the championship and the cup and become top scorer. In 2000, the left-hander moved on to GWD Minden before he left the Bundesliga for Italy in 2002. After a short stay in Qatar, the Croatian series champion RK Zagreb signed him . This was followed by another move to Italy to Italgest Casarano, where he broke several bones in his face in a Champions League qualifying game in Bregenz in 2007 and two plates had to be inserted in an operation lasting several hours. Nevertheless, he continued his career in Montenegro until 2010 with RK Lovćen Cetinje .
With the Yugoslav national team , the 42-time national player won bronze medals at the 1999 and 2001 World Cups . From 2007 he was still active for the Montenegrin national team and led the team through the qualification for the European Championship 2008 , in which he could not participate due to his injury. By 2009 he played at least nine international matches (24 goals).
Blažo Lisičić took over the post of vice-president of the Montenegrin handball association and sports director of the national team after his sporting career, but resigned in September 2013. He is married and has three children.
