action

Leo loves to hang out and watch movies. He sees all of this in jeopardy when his friend Louise tells him that she is pregnant. Her brother Louis, a racist thug, is more than happy about the prospect of becoming an uncle. Leo's friend Lenny, who can recite his favorite B-horror flicks like “ The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ”, “ Maniac ” or “ Andy Warhol's Frankenstein ”, is freshly shot. His dream wife Lea works nearby, although she is more interested in books than in films, but the crazy film freak manages to create short dialogues.

Leo, meanwhile, cannot cope with the idea of becoming a father soon and the relationship falls apart. Leo becomes more and more violent until the situation escalates at some point. He violently kicks Louise's abdomen, so that she loses her child. Louis seeks revenge and infects Leo with HIV through the blood of a heroin addict . Completely out of control, Leo now transmits the virus to Louis by shooting at him and letting his blood run into him; then he shoots himself.

At the end of the film, Lenny manages to overcome his shyness. He makes an appointment with Lea and manages to enter into deeper dialogues.

Reviews

"In fact, Bleeder makes you think and there it comes again, this queasy feeling in the stomach area and this feeling alone makes this often underrated film something very special."

- MovieMaze

“The sometimes frightening image of a society that longs for affection, but has long since frozen in lovelessness and channels its helplessness into increasing aggressiveness. Despite some genre attitudes, an impressive film that introduces social losers and gets under your skin. "
