Bobby Baun began his career as a hockey player with the Toronto Marlboros , for which he was active in the Ontario Hockey Association from 1952 to 1956 and with whom he won the J. Ross Robertson Cup as OHA champions and the Memorial Cup in 1955 and 1956 . He then received a contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs , for which he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 1956/57 season . In addition, he came in his rookie year on 46 appearances for Toronto's farm team , the Rochester Americans from the American Hockey League , for which he scored 15 points, including two goals. With Toronto, for which Baun was initially on the ice for eleven years, the right-handed shooter won the prestigious Stanley Cup four times in 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1967 . He then received a contract with Toronto's league rivals Oakland Seals , for which he took part in the NHL All-Star Game for the fifth time in his career in 1968 . After just one year, Baun signed with the Detroit Red Wings , for which he was active for two more seasons in the NHL, before returning to the Maple Leafs at the beginning of the 1970/71 season, where he ended his active career in 1973.
In the 1975/76 season Baun took over the coaching position with the Toronto Toros from the World Hockey Association , with which he missed the playoffs in his only station as head coach as the last of the Canadian Division .
