Bogdan Stefanow ( Bulgarian Богдан Стефанов ; born December 14, 1990 ) is a Bulgarian ice hockey player who has been playing at SK Irbis-Skate in the Bulgarian ice hockey league since 2015 .

Career

Bogdan Stefanow began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the HK Slavia Sofia . With the team he won the Bulgarian national championship in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and the cup competition in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 . In 2012 and 2013 he was voted the best defender in the Bulgarian ice hockey league. In 2013 he moved to HK ZSKA Sofia , with whom he also won the Bulgarian Cup and Champion in 2014. In 2015 he played for SK Irbis-Skate , with which he was Bulgarian champion again in 2016 and 2017.

International

In the youth field, Stefanow took part in the U18 World Championships in Division III in 2006 and 2008 and the qualification for the U18 World Championship in 2007 , when the Bulgarians failed at Turkey , as well as the U20 World Championships in 2006 , 2008 , when he was voted the best player of his team, and 2010 in Division III.

In the men's selection of his country, Stefanov played at the World Championships of Division II in 2009 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 and 2015 as well as Division III of 2014 , when the Bulgarians succeeded in the immediate resurgence of Division II, in 2016 when he was the best player elected to his team, and 2018 . He also played in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
