Bojan Samardžija (born December 5, 1985 in Sokolac ) is a former Bosnian biathlete and cross-country skier .

Bojan Samardžija began biathlon in 1999 and has been part of his country's national team since 2003. He was trained by Tomislav Lopatić and started for Romanija Pale . In 2002 he competed in his first international race in the European Junior Cup . After he did not appear as planned at the Junior World Championships in 2002 in Kościelisko , the junior races of the Junior European Championships of the year in Forni Avoltri became the season highlight of the Bosnian. In the individual he reached the 46th place, in the sprint the 43rd and in the pursuer the 44th place. Later in the year Samardžija started in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2002 in Forni Avoltri and was there 19th of the sprint and 21st of the pursuit race. In Haute-Maurienne , he started in 2004 for the first time at the Junior World Championships, in which he was 40th of the individual and qualified as the 58th of the sprint for the pursuer, to which he did not take part. The last time he took part in 2005 in Kontiolahti in Junior World Championships. Samardžija was 50th, 36th in the sprint and 39th in the pursuit. His last junior assignment was at the 2006 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Ufa . In cross-country competitions , he reached 26th place in the sprint and 17th on roller skis . He was lapped in pursuit.

In 2003 Samardžija made his debut in Ridnaun in the European Cup and was 100 in his first sprint race. The Bosnian achieved his best result in the racing series in 2006 in the same place as 40th of a sprint. During the 2004/05 season he also came to his first races in the World Cup . In his first sprint in Oberhof he was 101st, shortly before the World Championships he achieved his best World Cup result as 90th of a sprint in Pokljuka . At the World Championships in Hochfilzen , he finished 96th in the individual and 102nd in the sprint. The international championship of the following year was the 2006 European biathlon championships in Langdorf , where Samardžija was 58th in the individual and 73rd in the sprint. In 2007 he was used again in Antholz at the world championships and reached ranks 106 in the individual and 102 in the sprint. At the end of his career the Biathlon European Championships 2007 in Bansko . In the individual he finished in 53rd place, in the sprint he was 55th, thus qualifying for the pursuit race, in which he did not start.

In addition to biathlon, Samardžija has competed in cross-country skiing races since 2004. At first it was only used in lower-class FIS races and in the Alpine and Balkan Cup . In 2006 he achieved the greatest success of his career in Turin when he was able to start the 15-kilometer classic at the Winter Olympics . He was 89 on the Pragelato Plan routes .
