Bonrechtern is a peasantry in the east of the municipality Visbek in South Oldenburg region district of Vechta in Lower Saxony . It is located about 4.5 km east-southeast of the Visbeck town center.

Geography and location description

The village of Bonrechtern, which is characterized by rural agriculture and already mentioned in the 11th century as Ban-rehderun , has around 300 inhabitants and is located in the Cloppenburger Geest , in the Oldenburger Münsterland . On the eastern edge of the farming community, the loess -clay-shaped lowland stream Twillbäke rises in the Sackriede watercourse . To the south of Bonrechtern, the Weser-Ems watershed runs from northeast to southwest through the northern area of the Herrenholz forest . The flat geest landscape is characterized by arable and field cultivation and flower production companies. The latter supply florists in northern Germany from their greenhouses. The village has its own kindergarten. In the middle of the village is the "Villa Berta" built in 1905 in a park-like garden.

To the west, about 2 km away, the Bäken nature reserve, through which the Twillbäke flows, adjoins the Endeler and Holzhauser Heide .
The Herrenholz nature reserve and forest area is around 2 km south of the municipality of Goldenstedt .
