Borne (German Born ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It belongs to the Gmina Drawsko Pomorskie (Dramburg municipality) in the Powiat Drawski (Dramburger Kreis) .
geography
Borne is located in the north-west of Poland. East of the place is the Jezioro Ostrowiec southeast of the village of Jezioro Dołgie both about one kilometer from the place. At the same distance to the northwest is the Jezioro Niecino .
history
Before 1945 Born was a municipality in the Dramburg district of the Prussian province of Pomerania . The residential areas Morgenland and Steinbeck also belonged to the community .
In 1945 Born, like all areas east of the Oder-Neisse Line , came to Poland. The place name was Polonized to "Borne".
The village was at its dissolution Gmina Ostrowice (municipality Wusterwitz) 1 January 2019, the Gmina Drawsko Pomorskie (Pomerania community) allocated. The village forms its own Schulzenamt , to which the villages Jutrosin (Morgenland) and Kolno (Steinbeck) also belong.

The neo-Romanesque Maximilian Kolbe Church is located in the village .
Economy and Infrastructure
Voivodship road 173 ( droga wojewódzka nr 173 ) runs through the village . This ends in the south after about 13 kilometers in the district town Drawsko Pomorskie , in the north after about 20 kilometers in Połczyn-Zdrój .
The place does not have a rail connection.
The nearest international airport is Szczecin-Goleniów Airport , about 70 kilometers to the west.
