Bostel is a district of the city of Celle in Lower Saxony , which is northeast of the city center.

history

Bostel was first mentioned in a document in 1060 and belonged to the parish of Groß Hehlen . The place was almost completely destroyed by a major fire in 1751.

On January 1, 1973, Bostel was incorporated into the district town of Celle.

The Celle districts of Altenhagen , Bostel and Lachtehausen form a joint local council that has 7 members (2 CDU , 2 SPD , 1 Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen , 1 independent, 1 individual applicant).
