Neuenhäusen is a district of the city of Celle in Lower Saxony and lies to the west and south of the old town.
history
The place emerged as a city expansion from 1680 under Duke Georg Wilhelm von Braunschweig-Lüneburg . The older "Altenhäusen" was incorporated into the town of Celle in 1869 together with Neuenhäusen . Neuenhäusen borders in the north on the Aller , in the east on the Fuhse , in the south on the Wilhelm-Heinichen-Ring and in the west on the railway facilities of the main line Hanover-Hamburg .

The Neuenhäusen local council represents the interests of the district towards the city-wide administration and consists of 9 members (3 CDU , 3 SPD , 1 Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen , 1 Die Linke , 1 independent)
Local mayor is Jörg Rodenwaldt (SPD).
Buildings, culture and sights
- The Neoclassical Neuenhäuser Church was built in 1751 in place of a chapel built in 1710. In 1866 the bell tower was added. In 1963 a small chapel was added. Numerous carvings by Hubert Distler .
- The listed Neuenhäuser cemetery is important . Burials were carried out here as early as 1690. Part of the cemetery is the largest closed plate grave field in northern Germany.
