Brandon Sugden (born June 23, 1978 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Tulsa Oilers .
Career
Brandon Sugden began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League , in which he was active from 1995 to 1998 for the London Knights , Sudbury Wolves and Barrie Colts . Then the winger was under contract with the Dayton Bombers from the ECHL for two years , where he ran up in the 1998/99 season in six games in parallel for the Cincinnati Cyclones in the International Hockey League . After he was only sporadically used in the 2000/01 season at the ECHL clubs Tallahassee Tiger Sharks and Peoria Rivermen , and the Worcester IceCats from the American Hockey League , he paused in the following season. He then accepted the contract offer from the Dragons de Verdun from the Québec Semi-Pro Hockey League . There he was able to recommend himself for an engagement with the AHL franchise of the Syracuse Crunch , for which he ran from 2003 to 2007.
During the 2006-07 season returned Sugden to Canada, where he of the St-Jean Chiefs has been committed from the now renamed Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey QSPHL. He stayed there for a year and a half before he was on the ice for the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL in the 2008/09 season . The Canadian began the following season with the Hershey Bears in the AHL, but left the eventual Calder Cup winner after eight appearances and joined Vitjas Chekhov from the Continental Hockey League .
At Witjas Sugden was used exclusively as an enforcer or pest , so that he only played 19 times and scored a goal and was a template. In addition, he received an average of more than eleven penalty minutes per game.
