Braulio Rafael León Villegas

Braulio Rafael León Villegas (born March 26, 1945 in León de los Aldama ) is a Mexican clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Ciudad Guzmán .

Life

Pope Paul VI ordained him a priest on May 17, 1970 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of La Paz en la Baja California Sur on February 21, 1990 . He received his episcopal ordination from the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Girolamo Prigione , on March 29 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Gilberto Valbuena Sánchez , Bishop of Colima , and Anselmo Zarza Bernal , Bishop of León .

On December 11, 1999, he was appointed bishop of Ciudad Guzmán . Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on September 25, 2017.
