Ambraüsus "Brausch" Niemann (born January 7, 1939 in Durban ) is a former South African racing driver .
Career
Brausch Niemann contested his first races on a Lotus Seven in his home country South Africa. The little Lotus remained his most important sports vehicle until the mid-1960s. In 1963 he drove his only automobile world championship Grand Prix. At the South African Grand Prix he started with a Lotus 22 , which he raced in until 1965. At the Grand Prix he reached 14th place. In 1965 he dared to participate again, but missed the qualification.
After a few years in touring car racing , where a Ford Cortina Lotus was his vehicle, he switched to motorcycles in the early 1970s and became the South African motocross champion in 1979 .
