The Brebowbach is a brook in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district .

The Brebowbach begins in the Steinfurth district of Karlsburg near the watershed between Peene and Peenestrom . From there it flows to the northeast, crosses the Buddenhagen district and then turns east to the area of the municipality of Zemitz , where it runs through a narrow meadow valley and finally flows into the Peenestrom north of the Bauerberg.

In a document from Bishop Konrad I of Cammin from 1168, the brook was mentioned under the name "Bebroa". The bishop confirmed the possession of a water mill on the river to the Grobe monastery . At the time of the Swedish land survey of Western Pomerania at the end of the 17th century and also when the landscape was mapped by the Prussian authorities in 1835, there were extensive swampy forests in the vicinity of the Brebowbach.

The brook lies in the FFH area "Ostvorpommersche Waldlandschaft mit Brebowbach". The bellied diaper snail , brook and river lampreys as well as otters and beavers can be found here.
