Brech is a district of Laberweinting in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

The Einödhof Brech is about one and a half kilometers northwest of Habelsbach, three kilometers northwest of Laberweinting . From the end of Habelsbach, a gravel path leads to Brech. This is the only place in the municipality that has no asphalt driveway. The house and the farm buildings are located on the south side of a path extending from Eitting according Obergraßfing ridge between the field names Miihlberg and Eppenleite. The chapel stands on the highest point above the courtyard. Brech is also called Klein-Habelsbach in older maps and writings.
history
In the parish descriptions of the 19th century from the diocese of Regensburg (Deanery Geiselhöring) from 1859/1861, the desolation of Kleinhabelsbach with six inhabitants is listed in the parish of Laberweinting. The walk to the parish church is given as half an hour.
The current place name should refer to the flax cultivation in Labertal and the processing of the fibers, the breaking . It is documented that flax was grown, broken, bleached and processed into ropes and ropes in the neighboring village of Weingarten until after the First World War . Some of the rice was exchanged for linen.
