The house at Breite Straße 23 was a building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt . It was demolished around 1970 and is considered to be one of the lost important buildings in the historic half-timbered town of Quedlinburg.

The building was located in the northern part of Breite Straße in the historic old town of Quedlinburg.

Architecture and history

The half-timbered house was built around 1500. It was two-storey and had a mezzanine . The building comprised six containers in width . The first floor facade was plastered. The framework of the far projecting upper storey had a so-called column arrangement . The ornamentation consisted of flattened struts and bevels on the beam heads . There was also a bevel on the threshold .

The building was demolished around 1970.
