The house at Breite Straße 15 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located northeast of the city's market square and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a merchant's house in the Quedlinburg monument register. To the south of the house is the also listed building at Breite Strasse 14 , to the north by the house at Breite Strasse 16 .

Architecture and history

The three-storey front building of the property was built according to an inscription on the building in 1665 and is designed as a half-timbered house . The initials AS with a double-edged hatchet refer to the master builder Andreas Schröder . The thresholds of the building are strongly profiled. The facade was changed during the 18th century. A bay window that was later added to the ground floor is striking . A round arched gate passage is integrated into the south half of the house.

Parts of the interior are from around 1750. The baroque staircase in the building is remarkable .

On the north side of the courtyard is a three-story wing built around 1860.
