It is believed that the building was connected to the Franciscan monastery in Schulstrasse. The house has long been owned by the Church. A passage that is now closed with a gate is called Klostergasse. There are three major renovations on the building that date back to the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. The stairwell of the building was created after dating 1722. Elements of the early and late baroque are also present. Both gable sides of the building are designed as firewalls and actually protected the building from city fires.
The courtyard is also built as a half-timbered building and originated in the 18th century. A medieval ashlar masonry serves as the substructure .
In 2012, a renovation was carried out by the architectural firm qbatur caused by the Halle was accompanied architectural historian Olaf Karlson.
