notes

  1. Recommended for English lessons: Montreal is the setting ... the ironic-tragicomic story of an Irish immigrant whose dreams and hopes collide with the realities of his new home. Ginger's problems are not only those of the immigrant, who has to find their way in a new life situation and a strange sociocultural environment. They also stem from his personal weaknesses, his tendency to deceive himself and to deceive others, which he must learn to overcome.
