Brittany O'Grady (born June 2, 1996 in Arlington , Virginia ) is an American actress and singer .

Life

Brittany O'Grady graduated from the Drew Model School in Arlington, the local Washington Lee High School , which she graduated in 2013.

In Arlington she attended the Encore Stage & Studio , where she played the role of Cindi in 12 Dancing Princesses in 2007 . Also in 2007 she performed at the Signature Theater in Arlington in the musical The Witches of Eastwick by John Dempsey and Dana P. Rowe. She also appeared in 2008 at the Little Theater of Alexandria in Alexandria (Virginia) as Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden and at Ford's Theater in Washington, DC in A Christmas Carol (2008 to 2010).

At the Synetic Theater from 2011 she played in Don Quixote and Othello . In 2012 she played Dr. Jekyll's fiancée in a stage version by Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde , in 2013 she appeared as Constance Bonacieux in The Three Musketeers .

Movie and TV

She made her debut in 2014 with an appearance on the television series Trophy Wife . In 2015, she had an episode role in the episode Rescued from the hospital series The Night Shift and a recurring role as Nadia Garcia on The Messengers . From 2016 to 2019 she played the role of Simone Davis in the series Star with Queen Latifah . In the German version it was dubbed by Leslie-Vanessa Lill .

2019 she starred in the thriller Above Suspicion of Phillip Noyce with Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston the role of Georgia Beale. She also starred as Jesse in 2019, starring Imogen Poots in Black Christmas , based on the 1974 slasher film Jessy - The Stairway to Death . In the German version, Jodie Blank lent her the voice.

In the Apple TV + series Her Voice (2020) by Jessie Nelson and producer JJ Abrams , she played the role of the singer Bess King, who is trying to gain a foothold on the New York music scene.
