Bruno Frank Apitz (* 1957 ) is a German actor and painter .

biography

Bruno F. Apitz studied drama at the “Hans Otto” theater school in Leipzig and graduated with a diploma. This was followed by theater engagements at the Neue Theater Halle , the Mecklenburg State Theater Schwerin and the Schauspiel Leipzig . He worked with directors such as Wolfgang Engel , Peter Sodann and Ursula Karusseit . At the theater Apitz played, among others, Bassow in Gorkis Sommergäste , Claudius in Shakespeare's Hamlet and Mephisto in Goethe's Urfaust . He taught as a guest lecturer in drama at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig and, as an acting coach, prepares budding actors for their roles.

Since 2002 Apitz has been working as a freelance actor and speaker, primarily for film and television productions. He has played in over 90 films so far. Bruno F. Apitz is a member of the German Film Academy . Since 2010 he has been shooting for the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante , in which he embodies the chief inspector Hans Moor . He replaced his predecessor Uwe Fellensiek with the episode Der Soldat , which was first broadcast in February 2011 .
