Bruno Pezzatti

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bruno Pezzatti (born March 4, 1951 in Zug ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP Switzerland ). He was from 2011 to 2019 for the Canton train in the National Council . Before that, he was a Cantonal Councilor (1998–2010) and President of the Cantonal Council (2009–2010).

Life

Pezzatti studied at the ETH Zurich (Dipl.-Ing. Agronomist). In the National Council elections in 2011 , thanks to a list connection with the CVP , he was able to get back the seat that had been lost eight years earlier for the FDP. He ousted Jo Lang ( SGA ), who had captured the FDP seat in 2003 . In 2015 , Pezzatti was able to defend the seat, again with the help of a list connection with the CVP and now also with the GLP - although he personally disapproves of list connections. He has thus achieved the goal set in the 2011 election of eight years as a member of the National Council. Accordingly, he no longer ran in the 2019 elections . The FDP then lost the seat again to the green alternatives , namely to Manuela Weichelt-Picard .

Pezzatti is President of the Swiss Fruit Association (SOV). In addition, he is President of Raiffeisenbank Menzingen-Neuheim and the AHV compensation fund VEROM as well as a member of several associations such as the Rotary Club Aegeri-Menzingen and the Athletics Club Zug, member of the board of directors of the Gösgen nuclear power plant and member of the board of trustees of the Swiss Foundation for Responsible Genetic Engineering.

He is a member of the 2013 founded at the initiative of beverage manufacturers lobby group for sweet drinks IG soft drinks .

Pezzatti is married, has two grown daughters and lives in Menzingen.
