Brza Palanka ( Serbian - Cyrillic Брза Паланка ), often just called Brza , is a village in Opština Kladovo and in Okrug Bor , and thus in eastern Serbia . It is located on the right bank of the Danube . At the time of the Romans , the Roman city of Aegeta was located on the site of today's village .
Opština Brza Palanka
Until 1965 the village was the seat of Opština Brza Palanka. This municipality consisted of the villages: Brza Palanka, Grabovica , Kupuzište , Ljubičevac , Reka , Velesnica and Velika Kamenica , these villages are now in the area of Opština Kladovo and the villages of Mala Kamenica , Mihajlovac and Slatina , these are now in the Opština Negotin .
When the commune was dissolved, the area of the former Brza Palanka commune became part of the Kladovo and Negotin communes .
Residents
The 2002 census (self-nomination) showed that 1,076 people live in the village. Most of them were Serbian Orthodox . The majority of the population are Serbs , but members of the following ethnic groups also live in the village: Wallachians , Romanians , Croats , Montenegrins , Bulgarians , Czechs , Roma , Slavic Macedonians , Albanians and Yugoslavs .
