Mala Kamenica ( Serbian Мала Каменица / Mala Kamenica) is a village in the municipality of Opština Negotin and Bor district in eastern Serbia .
History and name
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1736 under the name Kamenica . Today it is known that there were Gornja Kamenica ( German: Obere Kamenica) and Donja Kamenica (German: Lower Kamenica) in the 16th century .
The village got its current name because of a quarry (Serbian: Kamenjar ), which was located at the current location of the old village.
From 2001 to 2004 the Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Elias was built in the village .

According to the 2002 census (self-named) there were 392 inhabitants in the village.
