Mokranje ( Cyrillic : Мокрање) is a village in the Negotin Opština in the Bor district in eastern Serbia .
History and name
Mokranje is a village that emerged from the villages of Visoka, Barbaša, Rušanja, Sokolovica and Romanje in the 16th century. Mokranje owes its name to the damp soil in this area ( Serbian Mokro , dt. Wet ). The village was renamed Milanovo after Miloš Obrenović in the 19th century . After the end of his rule, the original name was used again.
