Bruce Hardy (born May 4, 1962 in Comox , British Columbia ) is a former German - Canadian ice hockey player who played in the DEL for the Preussen Devils , the EC Hannover and the Adler Mannheim .

Player career

The 1.99 m tall, Canadian-born striker began his career at EHC Essen , for whom he played in the 2nd Bundesliga until 1984 . After a brief engagement in North America with the St. Catharines Saints from the American Hockey League , he finally moved to the ECD Iserlohn in the ice hockey Bundesliga .

The left-shot was on the ice for three years for the Sauerlanders and then signed a contract with league rivals Düsseldorfer EG during the 1987/88 season . Other Bundesliga stations up to the founding of the DEL in 1994 were the Schwenninger ERC , where he formed the most dangerous rank of the year alongside Grant Martin and Wally Schreiber , and the BSC Prussia . In the following season Hardy played for the EC Hannover and the Adler Mannheim .

In 1996 the attacker moved to the second-class " 1st league " at EHC Trier , and Bruce Hardy ended his professional career two years later at the also second-class REV Bremerhaven .

Coaching career

In early 2008 he was briefly assistant coach at the second division ice hockey team Schwenninger Wild Wings, at the side of his brother-in-law Greg Pruden.
