Jasenica ( Serbian Јасеница / Jasenica) is a village in the Opština Negotin and in the Bor district . The village lies on the Jasenička Reka River . The name of the village is eponymous for the name of the river.
History and name
Jasenica is mentioned for the first time in 1530 . At that time the village had 30 houses. The next time the village was mentioned in 1736 under the name Esenica and in 1784 as Jasenicza . The current name originated in the 19th century .
