Vidrovac ( Cyrillic Видровац) is a village in the Negotin Opština in the Bor district in eastern Serbia .
History and name
The village is first mentioned in Turkish records in 1530 . On Austro-Hungarian maps of the region, the village is mentioned under the name Vidrovatz from 1723 to 1725 , and as Vedrovatz in 1736 and 1784 . The Serbian Orthodox Church in the village was built in 1906 and is dedicated to St. Nicholas .
The first settlement was in the center of today's village, on the right bank of the Jasenička Reka River .
