Veljkovo ( Cyrillic Вељково) is a village in the Opština Negotin in the Bor district in eastern Serbia .
History and name
The village is first mentioned in Turkish records in 1530 with 28 houses and in 1586 with only ten houses.
It is mentioned under the name Bljivanovac on Austro-Hungarian maps of the region from 1718 . Until the 19th century, when the village was named Veljkovo, it kept the name Bljivanovac .
