Buchbachtal with Ramschleite and Buchbachsleite

The Buchbachtal nature reserve with Ramschleite and Buchbachsleite is located in the municipality of Steinbach am Wald in the Kronach district in Upper Franconia .
The 62.57 ha area with the number NSG-00445.01, which was placed under nature protection in 1998 , extends southwest of the core town of Steinbach am Wald and south of the Buchbach district along the Buchbach , a right tributary of the Haßlach . The state border with Thuringia runs not far to the west of the area, and the B 85 runs to the east .
The protection is placed to preserve the near-natural floodplain of the Buchbach with its diverse types of vegetation. These are species-rich and structured hillside forests and spring meadows .
