Bullenhausen ( Low German Bullenhuus) is a district of the Seevetal municipality in the Harburg district in Lower Saxony .

Bullenhausen has 1259 inhabitants (35 of them with secondary residence) and is located on the Elbe south-east of Hamburg . Since July 1, 1972, the formerly independent community of Bullenhausen and 18 other communities belong to the Seevetal community. On October 3, 1975, the town twinning of Seevetal to Decatur (Illinois) , USA , was officially sealed. Bullenhausen has its own yacht club .
