Bundesgasse
The Bundesgasse is a street in the city of Bern ( Switzerland ), it is located in the immediate vicinity of the Federal Palace .
The Bundesgasse flows into Effingerstrasse in the west, Schwanengasse in the northwest , Christoffelgasse in the north and Gurtengasse in the northeast into Bundesplatz in the east into Kochergasse .
history
During the construction of the Bundeshaus West (from 1852 to 1857), the city laid a street between Bundesplatz and Christoffelgasse, which was initially called Bundesratsgasse and was an extension of Inselgasse (today Kochergasse). In 1872 the Bundesgasse was extended to Schwanengasse , in 1878 the breakthrough to Hirschengraben followed , in 1882 the connection to Effingerstrasse. A year later, the city nursery planted the avenue west of Christoffelgasse. The Bernerhof and the Bernabrunnen are also located on Bundesgasse .
