Werner Buxa

Werner Max Arthur Buxa (born October 16, 1916 in Memel ; † May 20, 1998 in Ölbronn-Dürrn ) was a German officer and author.

Life

Buxa was born during the First World War as the son of a Prussian lieutenant . In the Third Reich he was Hitler Youth leader. He received several awards as a front-line officer in the Wehrmacht during World War II .

In 1943 he married; the couple had five children: three sons, the eldest died on the day of birth, and two daughters.

The Bundeswehr was one Buxa finally as lieutenant colonel in the reserve. From 1970 to 1973 Buxa was in command of the 752 German Army Jäger Battalion , which was subordinate to VBK 52 in Karlsruhe . Buxa last lived in Baden-Württemberg and died on May 20, 1998 in Ölbronn-Dürrn.
