The 2017 CONCACAF League was the first season of the competition for Central American and Caribbean club teams in football . The tournament began on August 1, 2017 with the round of 16 and ended with the finals on October 20 and 27, 2017.

The winner of the competition was the Honduran club CD Olimpia , who beat Santos de Guápiles from Costa Rica 4-1 on penalties in the final and qualified for the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League . The top scorer was the Honduran Roger Rojas from CD Olimpia with 5 goals.

16 teams from 8 nations took part in the 2017 CONCACAF League. The competition was carried out in a knockout system . Starting from the round of 16 up to and including the final, each round was played with a home and away leg . If there was a tie after both games, the away goals rule was applied and if this did not determine a winner, there was a penalty shoot-out . An extension was not played.

Field of participants

On October 28, 2016, FIFA suspended the Guatemalan Football Association because of political interference by the government. As a result, all clubs from Guatemala were excluded from participating in international competitions. As a result, CONCACAF allocated one vacant space each to the associations from Honduras and Panama. The following 16 teams have qualified for the CONCACAF League 2017.
